The Archives is open to the public from 9am to 12pm and 14pm-17pm, Monday to Friday, 1st half of each month.


Information



The Archives of the City of Munster retain more than 400 ml of documents which the earliest date from the thirteenth century. Among the most remarkable, the Treaty of Marquart of 1339 and a very nice collection of parish registers, which makes the happiness of genealogists.

Treaty Marquart, 1339. The treaty, signed between the city and the abbey in 1339, sets out in detail all the rights of the abbot and easements which were subject the people of Val-Saint Gregory (ph: S. Wernain).
