The barometric station


In 1894, the "Société d'Embellissement" has made set up the barometric station in the marketplace, to give passers all information necessary for the proper conduct of their day. She survived two world wars and égaye always with his presence this place that is the living heart of the city.

The restoration of the barometric station was conducted by the city of Munster in March 2001.

"La Société d'Embellissement"

Founded in 1883 by Jean-Michel Heid (1832-1904) to assist the Club Vosgien in its effort to develop landscapes that make the reputation of the valley of Munster, the "Société d'Embellissement" has set itself at the outset , Aims to make streets, squares and the immediate surroundings of the city more enjoyable for the joy of residents and tourists.
